Hope You Find Your Glimmer
Have things felt heavy this season? I’ve spent the past two Christmases working around chemo appointments for my son, Boone. I have been in unshakeable survival mode and an unmovable state of stress.
I watched families get to celebrate normally while he squandered in infusion rooms and hospital beds. It felt like every day I was trying to save his life
This season feels a little lighter although a remission check-up is always on the horizon.
On a heavy night, I wondered to the hospital cafeteria and came upon a beautiful two-story Christmas tree in the lobby of Children’s Hospital and it gave me a tinge of hope. And for a moment, I saw the light and a skip in my heart that maybe we could come out of this impenetrable pain.
This season, may you find your glimmer of hope.
