Christmas Tree Chronicles
Memories of Christmas Trees marking a page in the chapter of our lives. Who was there, who was sick, who makes sure the tradition continues (Bodey, of course)!
I remember getting the white-tipped tree when we moved from the cabin into town. It was a transition time. I remembered wanting calm and I think that tree brought me peace. 🕊️
But, I also remember the unmatched bulbs and the colorful tinsel too. I can remember when I let the kids decorate by themselves and they stuck all the ornaments cluttered in one small corner of the tree… eek! 😬
I remember the Elf On The Shelf and the lengths I went to “TP” the tree! 🧻 Oh, and that year I decided we could handle three dogs as long as they were outdoor dogs and turned around and decidedly let them take Christmas pictures inside by the tree! 🐶
This year, they brought the tree up from the basement, put it together and found all the non-working lights… now they know mom gets anxious when tree-decorating. There’s so much to do during this season! 🥵
How did they know what was needed? Maybe this chapter they can teach me the magic of Christmas as they calmed me down when the two gold strands of lights were different hues!💡
Slow down, mama. There’s light. And their love.
