He Digs Me! What?

When you get your second-chance at love, slow down. That’s my advice. Dating after divorce is hard! But, it can be very lovely too.

Your first instinct is to fill the loneliness void with raw emotions and unhealthy choices…or at least I did. I’m pretty sure I could unpack some trauma here, but I used the hard lessons I learned in my past romantic relationships to make safe, sound decisions for my present and future self.

The product of my slow-down was a loving, secure, empathetic, kind, trustworthy partner. He makes me laugh and brings me joy. He told me recently, he “digs me.”

He likes me for me! I don’t think I’ver ever had a love like that.
